Several concerts featuring Japanese jazz musician Yoshio Suzuki and others were cancelled across major Chinese cities, officials said. Promoter Christian Petersen-Clausen said he was told by police that "all concerts with Japanese people are cancelled". This follows escalating China-Japan tensions after PM Sanae Takaichi suggested Tokyo could respond militarily if China attacked Taiwan.
