China congratulated Sushila Karki on assuming office as Nepal's new interim PM. "China and Nepal share a time-honoured friendship. China, as always, respects the development path chosen independently by people of Nepal," Chinese Foreign Ministry stated. "We stand ready to work with Nepal to promote Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence...and further advance bilateral relations," it added.
