China deployed over 100 navy, coast guard and other vessels in regional waters soon after the Beijing Summit, Taiwan's security chief Joseph Wu said. The Beijing Summit hosted US President Donald Trump, where the Taiwan issue was discussed. Taiwan, which relies on US support to deter Chinese threats, also saw its $14 billion arms deal with US being paused.
