The second case of the Omicron COVID-19 variant was detected in mainland China on Tuesday, official media reported. The infected person, a 67-year-old man who entered China from overseas in November and flew to Guangzhou last week, tested positive while he was isolated at home in the city, it said. The first case was reported in Tianjin city on Monday.
