China dominates global shipping, owns 50% global fleet & 65% shipbuilding: Ex-Aus PM

Former Australian PM Kevin Rudd claimed that the world’s seas have been monopolised, with China owning 50% of the global commercial fleet and 65% of the world’s shipbuilding capacity. Rudd added that China runs 90 ports across the world. He said that of the remaining shipbuilding capacity, 20% is concentrated in Japan and South Korea.
