China eliminated 70% poverty in 30 years: Reports

China's per capita GDP has increased to $8,000 (nearly ₹5.5 lakh), and 70% of poverty in the country has been eradicated in the last 30 years, reports said. From 1978 to 2015, China's per capita GDP reportedly grew from around $200 to $8,000. China's life expectancy also increased from 35 years in 1949 to 76.3 years in 2015, reports added.
