China is advancing a bold project dubbed the 'Suez Canal on Rails' centered on Chongqing, a manufacturing hub for electronics and electric vehicles. As part of Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road Initiative, this rail corridor connects about 60 Chinese cities with 50 European ones, offering transit in under two weeks, 10 to 20 days faster than sea routes.
