China's Ministry of Commerce on Saturday issued a first-ever formal blocking order so as to prohibit domestic entities from complying with sanctions imposed by the US over the purchase of Iranian oil. The move directly shields five Chinese petrochemical companies, commonly known as "teapot" refineries. As per the injunction, US' sanctions "shall not be recognised, implemented, or complied with".
