China deployed the first satellite of its 120-satellite Gande Constellation aboard Lijian-1 rocket to track space debris and enable 24x7 orbital monitoring. Featuring an onboard AI computer, the satellite allows tracking and collision avoidance with minimal ground intervention. As per Chinese state media, the project will bolster space traffic management and protect spacecraft in congested orbits.
