China may turn entire islands into robotic fortresses to defend itself
China's new defence proposal outlined a plan to turn entire disputed islands in the South China Sea into robotic fortresses. The proposal cited the growing threat of drones in naval combat, referring to the example of Ukraine's Magura V5 maritime strike drone. The uncrewed defence systems will use a closed-loop mechanism, guided by US' "observe, orient, decide and act" strategy.
