China planning to allow ByteDance, Alibaba to buy Nvidia chips: Report

China's government is planning to allow domestic companies like ByteDance and Alibaba to buy Nvidia chips built for high-end professional computers, The Information reported citing sources. The sources said some companies were told the government would approve their purchases.
