Indian economist Sanjeev Sanyal took to X to react to a report which said that China has detained some investment bankers and has taken away passports of many. "I cannot believe that China is dismantling their successful economic model like this," he said. "This sort of 'license-permit raj' will turn BYD into Hindustan Motors within a decade," Sanyal added.
