Amid declining birth rates in China, the country’s next economic boom could reportedly be driven by its ageing population, China’s silver economy, which refers to businesses designed to meet needs of older people, could be worth $4.4 trillion by 2035. Companies are increasingly redesigning products for seniors as over 400 million Chinese are expected to be over 65 by mid-2030s.
