China tested a camera system, that uses AI and facial recognition to reveal states of emotion, on Uyghurs in Xinjiang, BBC reported. A software engineer claimed to have installed such systems in police stations in the province. The engineer showed five photos of Uyghur detainees, saying the system was meant for "pre-judgement without any credible evidence".
