China's automotive regulatory body announced on Friday that it will exempt Tesla's electric vehicles from purchase tax in a bid to avoid any increased costs from tariffs in the US trade war. China currently levies a 10% purchase tax on the sale of each vehicle. The move could reduce the cost of buying a Tesla car by up to $13,957.82.
