China's Alibaba Group cut its workforce by about 19,000 employees last year, with 4,000 cuts seen in the final quarter alone, its earnings report data showed. However, the largest reductions came in the summer when it reported its first-ever contraction in revenue in the June quarter. Alibaba still has a workforce of over 2.39 lakh employees.
