Taiwan's Premier Su Tseng-chang has termed China's COVID-19 rules as "cruel", adding that country won't follow similar measures. Her comments come as Taiwan's experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases with 17,085 new cases reported on Sunday. Notably, China enforced a stringent lockdown in Shanghai and had adopted measures such as erecting fences outside residential areas to arrest spread of virus.
