Chinese astronauts grow rice in space on Tiangong station

Chinese astronauts on the Tiangong space station successfully grew and harvested rice in space after two months of cultivating the seeds. The rice seeds were sent to the space station on the Shenzhou-23 mission which was launched in May. Scientists said this could help them understand if food can be grown in space, making long-term space missions self-sufficient.
