In China’s Jinan city, a giant 50m-tall inflatable dome covers construction sites, trapping dust and noise inside. Made of strong and weatherproof fabric, it improves air quality, keeps neighbourhoods quieter, and lets work continue even in bad weather. The fabric is fire and water resistant. The dome can also handle strong winds and even some snow on top.
