Chinese judoka disqualified for allegedly biting her opponent during Asiad bout

Chinese judoka Tang Jing was disqualified from the Asian Games 2026 quarter-finals for allegedly biting her Japanese opponent Rin Maeda. Tang was disqualified for unsportsmanlike behaviour during their women's 70kg bout. After being separated from a hold, Maeda rolled up her sleeve to show the referee her left forearm, with what appeared to be a bite mark above the wrist.
