The Coast Guard Administration's (CGA) northern branch announced that it apprehended two Chinese individuals, a man and his son, who entered Taiwan unlawfully via a rubber boat. Prosecutors have requested the detention of the man on suspicion of illegally entering Taiwan. According to sources, the man claimed that he fled to Taiwan for "freedom", because he was persecuted in China.
