Chinese man turns mom's savings into $1 bn electronics firm

Chinese electronics firm Anker Innovations Technology, which was started by Steven Yang using his mother's savings from her pharmaceutical career, is now valued at about $1.1 billion. The 36-year-old started Anker with less than $1 million in seed capital after he left Google in 2011. Anker sells products ranging from smartphone chargers to portable power banks.
