Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) President Chirag Paswan has won Lok Sabha elections from Bihar’s Hajipur by defeating RJD’s Shiv Chandra Ram by over 1.7 lakh votes. Notably, Hajipur is Paswan family's bastion. Chirag's late father, Ram Vilas Paswan, was an eight-time Hajipur MP. Chirag's uncle Pashupati Paras won the seat in 2019. However, he didn't contest elections this time.
