Chhattisgarh's Chitrakote waterfall is also called as the mini Niagara Falls of India and bears the distinction of being the broadest waterfall in the country. Located 38 km from Jagdalpur in Bastar on the river Indravati, the water of the river cascades from a height of about 95 feet. The waterfall is about 300 metres wide during the monsoon season.
