A new study published in the journal Nutrients finds that cholesterol-lowering medication like atorvastatin works better in women with healthy vitamin D levels. Over 16 weeks, women with low vitamin D experienced weaker results and more side effects. The findings suggest that checking and correcting vitamin D levels may improve treatment success and tolerance.
