Christian groups halt prayer meetings after alleged attacks in WB

Christian groups in parts of West Bengal have temporarily stopped some house prayer meetings and visits following alleged attacks on worship gatherings. Incidents were reported in Howrah, Purba Bardhaman, Purba Medinipur and North 24 Parganas. In Uluberia, a Sunday prayer meeting was disrupted on August 23, with worshippers reporting assault and property damage. Police have registered a case.
