Retesh Kumaarr, Additional Director General at Pune CID, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Pune Police. The 1992-batch IPS officer has replaced Amitabh Gupta, who has been transferred to Mumbai. Meanwhile, Vinoy Kumar Choubey has been appointed as the Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Police. The Maharashtra government carried out a reshuffle of 30 senior IPS officers on Tuesday.
