Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh will star in Ali Abbas Zafar's film based on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Speaking about the same, Diljit said, "I was born in 1984. I was a baby when...riots happened." He added that he has heard the elders of his family talking about it. Diljit said that cinema must recreate history so that mistakes are not repeated.
