Veteran cinematographer Dillip Ray, known for his decades-long contribution to Odia, Bengali and Chhattisgarhi cinema, has passed away at the age of 72 after a brief illness and a recent brain stroke. Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi described his death as an "irreparable loss" to the state's artistic and cultural landscape. Ray is survived by his wife and three daughters.
