Cisco on Thursday announced the acquisition of Jasper Technologies, developers of an Internet of Things (IoT) cloud platform for $1.4 billion. Founded in 2004, Jasper serves over 3500 enterprises across 100 countries. It had previously raised $205 million in six rounds from investors including Sequoia Capital, Temasek Holdings and Benchmark.
