A research shows that wild birds like ducks and crows living near humans, particularly in cities, carry bacteria with antimicrobial resistance (AMR). These urban birds possess up to three times more AMR genes, including resistance to common antibiotics like fluoroquinolones and beta-lactams, than those in isolated areas. This poses risks to human health, agriculture, and animals.
