CJI orders lawyer's removal during NEET case, he replies, 'I'll leave, don't disrespect me'

Tuesday, 23 July, 2024 During the hearing in NEET case, CJI DY Chandrachud warned senior advocate Mathews Nedumpara after he interrupted advocate Narender Hooda, who was representing one of the petitioners. "Sit down otherwise I will have you removed from the court," CJI said. To which Nedumpara replied, "If you don't respect me, I will leave." The court ordered no re-test for NEET.
