Chinni Krishnan Ranganathan started Chik India to make shampoos after his father died in 1982. Over time, he expanded to hair wash, beauty care and dairy products and renamed the company to CavinKare. Today, CavinKare does revenue of ₹1962 crore at a profit of ₹194 crore. It has seven categories and over 500 products.
