Tensions and clashes erupted in Hyderabad during the anti-encroachment drive undertaken by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). AIMIM MLC Mirza Rahmath Baig Quadri and AIMIM's ex-corporator Mohd Ghouse reportedly threatened GHMC officials and forced them to stop work, following which they were booked. The police have also arrested another AIMIM leader Sahil Akber.
