Clashes broke out between TMC and BJP workers on Sunday in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas over political posters and flags put up ahead of PM Narendra Modi’s visit. The conflict escalated from verbal confrontation into stone pelting and bomb hurling, an ANI news report said. Crude bombs were reportedly thrown at BJP MLA Pawan Singh’s residence, injuring three people.
