The Supreme Court ruled that Class 10 admit cards, accompanied by pass certificates, can be accepted as supplementary identity documents for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal. The bench clarified that the admit card cannot serve as standalone proof and must be paired with the pass certificate for verification. CJI Surya Kant led the bench.
