A hacker exploited Anthropic's AI chatbot Claude to carry out attacks on multiple Mexican government agencies, Bloomberg reported. The hacker used Spanish prompts to find vulnerabilities in government networks, exploit them, and automate data theft, with the chatbot eventually complying. The month-long campaign resulted in the theft of roughly 150GB of sensitive tax, voter, and government records.
