Claude builds 3D Lord of the Rings scene for ₹950; Anthropic exec calls it 'mind-boggling'

Anthropic researcher Andrej Karpathy shared an experiment in which Claude Opus 5 generated a 3D scene inspired by the opening paragraph of The Lord of the Rings. Running on a $10 budget (around ₹950), Claude wrote 5,500 lines of code over two hours to render the scene. Calling the experiment "mind-boggling," Karpathy said, "LLMs have all the stamina...in the world."
