Claude Opus 5 outperforms human accountants in 10 minutes, Musk reacts

Anthropic's Claude Opus 5 outperformed 12 licensed accountants and completed each accounting task in under 10 minutes, a study by AI recruiting firm Mercor showed. Human participants recorded average accuracy of 37% on the tasks, while Opus 5 scored 100% across all 20 attempts. "Super Intelligence (fka AI) is now acing accounting tests," Elon Musk said while reacting to study.
