According to an international climate change expert team, the Earth could witness global warming of more than 7°C from pre-industrial levels by 2100. They argued that a warmer climate is more sensitive to greenhouse gases, leading to accelerated global warming. Notably, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change predicts maximum warming of 4.8°C by 2100 under the business-as-usual scenario.
