Climate change likely led to fall of Indus Valley Civilisation: Study

An Indian-origin scientist, Nishant Malik, has suggested that the shifting monsoon patterns led to the fall of the Indus Valley Civilisation. Malik developed a mathematical method to study paleoclimate time series. His analysis showed there was a major shift in monsoon patterns just before the dawn of the civilisation and that the pattern reversed course right before it declined.
