A video showed PM Narendra Modi buying a basket of lotus flowers from a vendor outside the 300-year-old Thanthania Kalibari, a historic temple dedicated to Goddess Kali in Kolkata, before offering prayers there. PM Modi bought the basket for ₹300, NDTV reported. The temple has a ritual of offering non-veg prasad 'dab-chingri' (prawns cooked in coconut).
