Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, on Sunday, 25 February, laid the foundation stone of Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast Auto’s vehicle and battery product facility in Thoothukudi. VinFast, competitor to American EV maker Tesla, has earmarked investments of ₹16,000 crore in the state. VinFast starts work on its plant in India just 50 days after the signing of a MoU.
