Under Section 306 of CrPC, a person accused of an offense can receive a pardon from the court if they choose to confess the truth about the crime. In this situation, the individual providing the confession will be released from charges, while the other co-accused individuals may be convicted based on the testimony of the approver, explained Advocate Deepak Somani.
