A UN report on Friday said trade of illicit drugs is growing with cocaine and methamphetamine seizures reaching an all-time high. Cocaine production grew four-fold in a decade to 4,100 metric tons in 2024, while methamphetamine production is growing 13% annually, the World Drug Report said. It added that opium production in Afghanistan fell since 2023 after Taliban banned it.
