Cochin Shipyard has secured a significant order, valued between ₹250 crore and ₹500 crore, from Denmark-based Svitzer for the construction of next-generation fully electric 'TRAnsverse’ tugs. Under the deal, CSL will build four 26-metre 'TRAnsverse 2600E’ fully electric tugs, each with 70-tonne bollard pull capacity. Deliveries are scheduled to begin from late 2027.
