Cocoa, tea protect heart from damage of prolonged sitting: Study

University of Birmingham's researchers found that high-flavanol foods, including tea, berries, and cocoa, may help protect men's blood vessels from damages that occur due to prolonged sitting. Study participants who consumed cocoa did not show declines in vascular function in either the arm or leg arteries. Flavanols help support vascular health regardless of someone's fitness level, study found.
