Coding platform CodeChef, which was acquired by Unacademy in 2020, will split from the edtech startup in April. CodeChef said it didn't focus on financial viability earlier, but the ongoing global economic slowdown has made it clear the firm needs "to find ways to sustain" itself. It'll become an independent firm, but will reportedly receive ₹3 crore investment from Unacademy.
