Coffee Day Group's furniture business Dark Forest Furniture Company (DAFFCO) shut down its operations on Monday. DAFFCO said efforts were made to revive the company following founder VG Siddhartha's death but it faced acute financial constraints and lack of orders. The company, which employed 65 workers at its Chikkamagaluru factory, supplied furniture to all Café Coffee Day outlets.
