Months after announcing Coinbase's entry into India, the US cryptocurrency exchange's CEO Brian Armstrong has made an open call for people to join the team. "Coinbase is building out an office in India! Amazing team already in place - come join us," he tweeted. Coinbase, founded by Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam in 2012, went public in the US in April.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has reacted after US President Donald Trump "strongly requested" him to spare the lives of Ukrainian soldiers. "Ukraine must order soldiers to put down weapons and surrender for Trump's request to be realised," Putin said. "Ukrainian militants committed numerous atrocities against civilians, their actions are qualified as terrorism," Putin further said.

"At this very moment, thousands of Ukrainian troops are completely surrounded by Russian military...I have strongly requested to President Putin that their lives be spared," Trump further said, adding, "This would be a horrible massacre, one not seen since WWII."

The leader of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria Abdullah Maki Musleh al-Rifai, also known as Abu Khadija, has been killed, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani said on Friday. Iraqi security forces, together with US-led coalition fighting the terrorist group, killed Khadija, who was "considered one of the most dangerous terrorists in Iraq and the world", al-Sudani added.

Elon Musk's Tesla has warned US President Donald Trump's government that it, and other major American exporters, face risks of retaliatory tariffs in response to Trump's tariffs on US trade partners. "US exporters are inherently exposed to disproportionate impacts when other countries respond to US trade actions," Tesla wrote to US Trade Representatives Office on March 11, reported Reuters.

A team of international scientists has successfully turned light into a supersolid for the first time, with their research published in journal Nature. To create the supersolid, the researchers fired laser at piece of gallium arsenide that had been shaped with special ridges. A supersolid is a state of matter that combines properties of both a solid and a superfluid.

External Affairs Ministry has reacted after Pakistan's baseless charges against India following the train hijack that killed 25 people. "We strongly reject the baseless allegations...The whole world knows where the epicentre of global terrorism lies.
